I'm genuinely confused as to how one small article on Medium can effectively shut down dialogue. The entire purpose of this article is to START a dialogue, as I note "it is time to think about what a national strike might look like," e.g. I absolutely invite discussion about this topic and never once said it must be that we adopt this or that framework. If you actually read my article with an eye to the idea that I'm not urging anyone to do anything except refuse to submit to a false dilemma, then maybe you will be able to better appreciate my aims. It is just not the case that I have suddenly caused teachers to be paralyzed with fear. That was already happening, as many of the studies I cited indicate (though you accuse me of cherry picking from the 'evil' mainstream media). Teachers have been scared for far longer than this little article has existed. I'm trying to empower them to use their collective force to demand better. That is the opposite of causing damage.

Like, seriously, I am pointing out that it is bullshit that teachers are being made to feel bad for being scared and we don't have to put up with this. That's it.
